Adam Maalouf on HandPan + an array of world percussion
Adam, of Lebanese-American descent, will choreograph live sonic magic as your breath drops into the sweet rhythmic tempo of your movements. Playing an acoustic set of music on HandPan and an array of world percussion, melodic and rhythmic cycles will inspire bright energy as we move deep into our yoga practice guided by Aarona. After experiencing a gamut of instrumental training from age 3 that included a classical education on the cello, Adam's eyes were opened to the infinite world of percussion. Through drumming in a variety of styles from around the world, he's a "common thread" between the musical cultures of the East and West. He's worked with countless ensembles and renowned musicians including Common Pulse, Jamey Haddad, Suzanne Sterling, Morley, Tom Rossi, Farah Siraj, The Asheville Percussion Festival Ensemble, Pallavi, The Gil Evan's Centennial Project, and The Michigan Arabic Orchestra and is a master teacher throughout the U.S.
