Kula teacher Alyona feels blessed to guide students into the deep vastness of breath and movement, inspirng evolution, mindfulness and joy. Join her and Kirsten for an eve of live ambient cello layered into elegant lyrical sounds. Combined with a strong yet graceful practice, a deep resonance of breath and sound will pour into every cell. Kirsten is a cellist, producer and composer with an eclectic range of collaborations under her belt - from punk, indie, and electronic music to live art installation performances. Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore released Kirsten's first solo album on his label, Ecstatic Peace. She has continued with her studio work since and has performed with Elliott Smith, Vic Chesnutt, Jarboe (Swans), and for the Tribeca Film Festival Award winning documentary “Give Up Tomorrow”. Adding to her stellar repertoire, Kirsten has become very influenced by her personal yoga practice and the music currently coming out of the New Age and Yoga genre.
