Tomek Regulski on Sitar, Singing Bowls, Vocals
Join us for a prayerful eve full of yoga, music, and intention. This evening is an opportunity to connect with and pray for the healing of our waters - both in our body and on our planet. Tomek, who is a classically trained composer and sitarist, will musically lead the way. He is a senior student of Acharya Roop Verma, the renowned sitarist and nada yoga master. Using this blend of classical and spiritual training, Tomek leads sound meditations while performing on sitar, various percussion instruments, and vocals. He's worked with outstanding musicians in the field such as Gaura Vani and Adam Bauer; and appears on Adam's debut album "Shyam Lila", and is an assistant faculty member of the East West School of Music at Ananda Ashram in Monroe, NY, where he teaches workshops for sitar. As a composer, Tomek’s work is driven by an interest in color, stillness, and space; and carries the intention of engaging the listener through the finer details of sound and resonance. His music has been performed throughout the United States, as well as in Europe and Mexico.
As a Woman, a Native American Jew, and as a Human Being - I am appalled by what is going on in the country and around the world right now.
I believe in light, love and peace. I also believe in the shadow and it's many shades. We have an opportunity to come together like never before, to awaken and accelerate healing. This is not soft talk, this is real talk.
